It all starts with a conversation.

 

What is a conversation? This is a time space where you are free to explore any topic of your choosing to your heart's content.

 

We can tread lightly or go vast and deep.  Here is a place where you FREE  to share your dreams AND the parts of yourself that have no place else to go.

Imagine coming into a space that was designed to embrace you in all your forms!

 

A space where you don't have to pretend. A space where you don't have to make nice. A space where you can unleash your full self. A space where you can finally share the voices and stories inside you that have been quiet for so long.

A time space where YOU become the art AND the artist!

 

I, Teresa, act as the facilitator, a witness and radical supporter as we journey through our conversation  - together.

 

Call to the parts in you that want to be seen and heard. The parts that long to be accepted and celebrated. Maybe even by you.

​

You lead the conversation, and I follow as we both embark on the journey of making art of YOU.

I’ve never been witnessed in this sensual energy by a woman. By a friend. By an artist. I’ve never allowed the sultry mood to encompass me while being watched in my own expression. She [Teresa] was there and then she disappeared into the scenery. The music took over, the anxiety melted, the self consciousness faded away.
 
I held the candle, peering into the fire, dancing with it, holding it above me, sparks flew.
 
I wore a mask, I saw myself through it, I reflected on the disguises we don for society. The projections of how a lady should be. The admonitions of how a lady should not dare to be. The narratives of what it means to be “taken seriously.”
 
The judgment to revealing oneself yet the elevation of desire. The rebelliousness of defying that which wants us to hide behind respectability. The liberation of embracing all that we are, being seen in our vulnerability, actually expressing our power.

How it works:

Part I. Conversation + Photoshoot

Come to The Liminal Space studio for your private conversation + photoshoot. This is a 4 hour experience: with me (Teresa, your artist and facilitator.)

​

  • Converse - Let. it. OUT. Share whatever is on your heart. Your hopes, your dreams, your fears and insecurities. We explore and exchange stories, and experiences. This is like dumping all of your "materials" on the table.

  • Photoshoot - Be seen. Be witness to the wholeness of YOU! This is your moment to make ceremony of it all. Teresa (your artist and facilitator) is here to guide you through the experience of being before the camera. Fuse your story into art.

Conversation + Photoshoot

​Part II. Art Piece

Your conversation becomes art.

 

In the weeks after your conversation with Teresa... A multimedia piece is created: using the photographs from your photoshoot, written word poetry (channeled by Teresa), and little bit of music.  

 

Your words, feelings, images become the paint and your story - the poetry.​

 

You will receive: 

  • 1 Multimedia Piece - A 1-3 minute video compiled with images, spoken words, and music.

  • Your choice of 3 digital photos (from the photoshoot)

Part 2

Art Piece

Let yourself be witnessed. YOUR story invites others to reflect on their own experiences, share their stories, and continue the dialogue in turn.

This is for you if:

  • You desire to be witnessed and seen by others.

  • You are open to sharing your story as the starting point for dialogue & open conversation between guests. 

  • You find it freeing and fulfilling to be able to share your story openly with strangers or friends. 

​

Choose between two options...

  • Option 1: Join the Collective. Allow your conversation to be featured as part of a photo reveal for the public. Public Photo Reveals are intimate gatherings of 15-20 people held at The Liminal Space. Each exhibit may feature other Conversation Pieces, and will integrate your Conversation Piece as part of the collective.​

  • Option 2: Create Your Own Collective. Invite your community to a private photo reveal party hosted at The Liminal Space. Each private photo reveal will feature up to 15 guests of your choosing.

​

Who is involved:

  • You! -- You are the guest of honor. :)

  • Teresa. -- The Photo Reveal Parties are hosted at the Liminal Space and facilitated by Teresa.

  • Additional facilitators. -- On a case-by-case basis, each Photo Reveal may also feature additional artists, who will join to facilitate various portions of the night (example: intention setting ceremony, drum circle.)
